| Turbo is |
a label my partner Tiga and I started out back is 99 specializing in electronic
music |
| When turbo begun things were different because |
loads of things… Damn! People were still on dial up, no high speed, the world
was napster free and my grandmother didn’t know yet how to use a
cd burner yet. |
| Turbo is different to other labels because |
I think we just have a different vision of what we consider good music. Our goal
was never really to differentiate ourselves, just stay true to our
ears. |
| If forced to choose, my favourite Turbo release
so far would be |
Ouch! Don’t want to let everyone down, but my favorite would have to be the latest
bomb by Phillip Zdar (Turbo-028). Then going for the mix series I
could never forget Jesper Dahlbacks first Stockholm Mix Sessions
A CLASSIC! |
| If 2004 was the year of |
getting up and wiping the blood from my face |
| then 2005 is going to be the year of |
…it can only get better |
| The key to Turbo's success is |
our artists, hard ass work, love, branding, branding, branding and hangovers…. |
| When we're not putting out fine music, we at Turbo
like to |
Tiga plays poker with mob bosses and bets on coq fights, I make furniture from
all our overstock, then blow it up. |
| What's great about Montreal is |
cheapest place on this side of the Atlantic to have this much fun… Smokemeat,
change of seasons, short skirts in the spring |
| Us Canadians cop a lot of shit but |
who’s counting anyway |
| One embarassing thing you probably don't know
about Tiga is |
he nests on his kitkat to make it nice & warm before eating (like chicken does an egg…) |
| If Turbo was to die |
on the tombstone would be written we could have downloaded all for free… |
