Club Mod stars wordlife hover the wand over The Presets' latest single 'Goodbye Future'. Premiering on Dancing Astronaut over the weekend, the EDM bible observed that their efforts "transform the progressive sensibilities of the original into a bouncy and stutter-filled indie dance gem. A gripping deep bass line and a tasteful approach to the entire process, the remix honors the original's melancholic energy with a guttural synthetic undercoat designed with dirty dancefloors in mind."
Experience the super class sound for yourself...
The remix is part of an upcoming package set for release next month, also including reworkings by The Aston Shuffle, Ilan Bluestone and an extended club edit by The Presets themselves. wordlife join Beni as support for their Groovin' the Moo sideshows. Tour details below.

Two thousand and thirteen. A year of musical neogenesis and spiritual regeneration. For many of us the dry scrubland was burnt off to make way for a blossoming new undergrowth. Amongst the soot and charred earth we found not just new sounds, but old ones; re-issues. Five re-issues.
Each year a focus country is selected and the curators mine deep to dig up some of the best works that country has to offer. This year the event will take place on November 8 and 9 at Wanderlust, with the theme being Australia, and we're honoured to have been given a "carte blanche" to screen ten of the best videos from our catalogue on Friday the 8th.
In addition we'll also be hosting a party that night with a host of Club Mod crew including Roland Tings (live), SymbolOne, Villa and Cecile.
On y va!
Modular's club-trotting offshoot Club Mod has just turned 2 years old, and in celebration we've gathered together some of the killer tracks from the first 12 releases into one compilation: Club Mod Vol 1.
Featuring a wide selection of genre-spanning tracks from throughout the label's release history, the compilation is out now through Club Mod.
Try before you buy - MTV Iggy are streaming it in its entirety right here.
We're psyched to be involved in two events for Sydney Festival 2014.
First up, Modular are in full party mode with a special Paradiso happening at Town Hall on Friday 17th January. Headlining the event is the visionary Juan Atkins, a man responsible for pioneering the most influential electronic discography since Kraftwerk. Blurring his name across aliases Cybotron, Model 500 and Infinity to release many classics of sublime Detroit techno, Atkins stands as an undisputed driving force in electronic music. Movement will also be bringing their seductive late night sounds to the stage alongside live from Club Mod's wordlife and Roland Tings, and DJ duo Softwar.
Fast forward to Tuesday 21st January for the exclusive NSW premiere of 100 Million Nights at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. Canyons collaborate with visual artist Daniel Boyd to create a mesmerising audio-visual experience, performed live as a four piece band, overlooked by three giant connecting screens that showcase Boyd's breathtaking visuals. They'll be joined on the night by HIVE, former Battles frontman and solo artist Tyondai Braxton's multimedia performance/installation.
Tickets are on sale here at 9AM on Monday 28 October.

Dates to Dance:
Roland Tings is bouncing around Europe for the next month before setting sail to Australia, playing Club Mod hits Tomita's Basement and Cagean Sea as well as previewing a forthcoming album on Prins Thomas' Internasjonal.
The jacking acid house producer has spent most of 2013 putting the finishing touches on his brand new performance, combining live drum machine programming, modular synth madness and on-the-fly rearrangements. Boiler Room captured this live simulation.
Check below for full details of the Club Mod presented tour. He'll be jamming out at Modular's Melbourne Music Week party with Canyons' 100 Million Nights, Standish/Carlyon, Andras Fox and Shining Bird on November 21.
Hear John Roberts reconstruct Naysayer + Gilsun's All That Good Work as thought provoking minimal house. The former Berlin resident maps sustained ambient tones, repetitive vocal stabs and ethnographic samples into an intelligent departure from its original creation.
Roberts approaches his work with modern classical sensibilities and is well known for his albums on Dial Records as well as remixes of Blondes' Business and George Fitzgerald's Silhouette. The golden touch.
Naysayer + Gilsun, aka Luke Neher and Sam Gill, step up to the plate with a heavy club fix that encapsulates how the Melbourne duo achieved local hero status, having played Boiler Room and alongside Jamie XX.
The set is built around their two original productions All That Good Work and Blue, which Club Mod packaged with Eliphino and John Roberts remixes and released to the world this week. Fill the void in your life and pick the EP up thru i-tunes and Beatport.
We had a chat to the guys about their multimedia DJ show NGTV and favourite films below.
With their All That Good Work / Blue EP out worldwide on Club Mod, Naysayer + Gilsun target the sensory cortex with their latest video.
Now available at Beatport and all good digi retailers, the package includes the loved Eliphino remix of Blue which scored early pick up from Pitchfork. In fact, the whole shebang has DJs singing praise:
"Top shelf jams" - Gabe Andruzzi (The Rapture)
"Feeling this big time!" - The Aston Shuffle
"Keeping it deep" - Psychemagik
"Blue is dope!" - Nick Catchdubs
"Club Mod don't quit! Ooph. More heat. Blue is a winner" - Alex Ruder (KEXP)
Having smashed FBi's 10th birthday celebrations over the weekend, the duo spread their deep party vibes across country this month. Full details below.
Club Mod is a new endeavor by the Modular family. A series of digital and 12" single releases aimed at some kind of dancefloor, Club Mod acts as one foot under the strobe and one in the future, an avenue for one-off releases with acts we've recently fallen in love with or those whom we've long time admired. It will be an eclectic, roughly monthly series in the name of dance.
