Recently resurfacing from the wilderness (aka "the studio") Jonathan Boulet took to the stage at The Standard in Sydney last week to share a swag of new tunes.
Sporting a lovely full beard Boulet wooed audiences with a sneak preview of his new material and a taste of what's in store for us all next year. If you missed out, here are some photos.

Jonathan Boulet to preview new songs in October
Recently returning from the wilderness with a trunk full of recordings (and a lovely full beard), restless Sydney song-writer Jonathan Boulet is now gearing up to release his forthcoming second album.
Ahead of this, however, lucky Sydney-siders can catch Boulet and his band showing off the new material (as well as a few classics) on Friday, October 21 at The Standard. Supporting on the night are tuff-as-indie boys Cabins and Balkan-folk-math-metal-Celtic-punks The Crooked Fiddle Band.

Our boy Jonathan Boulet has been quietly busying himself in the studio of late, working on a follow-up to his wonderful self-titled debut.
We've heard what he's been up to and can assure you it's sounding great. Really great. More to come on that in good time. But while you patiently wait over there, we thought we'd make sure you were aware of this little gem.

Jonathan Boulet & The John Steel Singers Announce The "Here
Off the back of the release of "You're A Animal" bedroom boffin Jonathan Boulet is teaming up with The John Steel Singers to tour this great southern land. The aptly named 'Here's Jonny' tour is hitting a slew of venues during March and April. Check out the all of the dates below.

Jonathan Boulet lands Kate Nash support
We're proud as punch of our boy Jono Boulet, who has just been named as the main support act for the Sydney leg of Kate Nash's forthcoming Australian tour.
The Brit Award-winning songstress is also playing shows in Brisbane and Melbourne, as well as a stop-in at the picturesque Wiseman's Ferry for the Playground Weekender Festival:

Jonathan Boulet will be counting down to midnight this New Year's Eve alongside the likes of Shout Out Louds and Neon Indian at Brisbane's Powerhouse 'No Years' Festival. The bedroom boffin that could, Jonathan Boulet returns with a triumphant new single, "You're A Animal" (sic), ahead of next years release of his as yet untitled 2nd album.
"You're A Animal" is a war cry of warrior angels, a lurching, spinning call to arms and the first new material since Boulet's acclaimed debut late last year. The track marks a scintillating taste of a record due early 2011 that is shaping up to be every bit as thrilling and joyous as Boulet's debut and then some. Jonathan Boulet's 2nd album is coming soon. Be prepared.

Jonathan Boulet Announces 'You're A Animal Tour'
This December the bedroom boffin that could, Jonathan Boulet returns with a triumphant new single, "You're A Animal" (sic), and a swift quasi-national tour to boot.
"You're A Animal" is a war cry of warrior angels, a lurching, spinning call to arms and the first new material since Boulet's acclaimed debut late last year. Not content to rest on the reputation of an accomplished, dazzling debut, and not busy enough despite his constant touring with Parades, recording/mixing/generally hanging out with Little Scout, Megastick Fanfare, Rainbow Chan and Sleepy Hands and not to mention remixing the likes of The Holidays, Wolf & Cub and more, Boulet didn't waste any time getting up to his neck in the follow up album and he's taking a break to hit the road and share the first fruits of his labour.

A precociously inspired 21-year-old skate rat from Sydney's northwest, Boulet makes a brand of ceremoniously uplifting, deeply colourful pop that sounds like something for which you’ve been searching but never thought you'd find.
