Mod Shop: Jonathan Boulet Tour Skate Tee (White)

Mod Shop: Jonathan Boulet Tour Skate Tee (White)

White is very much the new black when it comes to the new Jonathan Boulet t-shirt, which specially was made for his recent Oz tour. The skate inspired tee pays homage the logos that flooded half pipes of the mid 80s and has been radically created in celebration of his new self-titled album. Back design features the slogan: "Rad Music and Bad Skating Since 2009."

Buy it from the Mod Shop. (Also available in black)

Video: Jonathan Boulet Video Tour Diary Part 2

Jonathan Boulet chimes in wearing his backwards 'Director' baseball cap once again with this latest video montage depicting life on the road during his recent headline tour of Australia. In addition to watching Jono and co. tear up skateparks across the nation and treating your ears to a brand new tune - recoil in fear/admiration as a Goldie local proves the extent of his JB fandom with some very permanent body art.

Interview: Jonathan Boulet

Before revving up the Bouletmobile and stepping out on his first headline tour, we had a chinwag with our main man Jonathan Boulet. Jono spills the beans on his song-writing process, what makes him happy and sheds some light on album two's process.

Modular: A lot of emphasis has been placed on the fact that you recorded the album by yourself and played all of the instruments. How does it feel to perform the songs with a band rather than have complete control over every aspect?
Jonathan Boulet: I think it's good. It's different because I like to make it a bit more open to those guys, so every now and then we'll try jamming, or maybe I'll start playing something and everyone will join in and they don't know what I'm going to do. It's totally different, it's not all set out, it's all just sort of open. If you feel like something - you can try it.

The phrase "jack of all, master of all" isn't exactly one that gets bandied about, but is one that may well apply to the most recently inked player in the Modular clubhouse, Jonathan Boulet. A precociously inspired 21-year-old skate rat from Sydney's northwest, Boulet makes a brand of ceremoniously uplifting, deeply colourful pop that sounds like something for which you’ve been searching but never thought you'd find.
