Ladyhawke and Delphic Nominated for Brit Awards
Congratulations are in order to both Ladyhawke and Delphic, who were nominated for BRIT Awards earlier today. While Pip's up for 'Best International Female Solo Artist', Delphic are in the running for the prestigious 'Critics Choice.'
The full nomination list is up to browse at, and the awards be handed out on 18 February.
Ladyhawke Artwork Auction for Haiti
Sarah Larnach, whose iconic watercolour artwork adorns Ladyhawke's debut album and its series of singles, is auctioning a piece of original art to raise funds for charity to assist those harmed in the devastating Haiti earthquake.
This is the first time a piece of artwork from her Ladyhawke work has been for sale. Pip Brown and Sarah Larnach will also sign a copy of the single "Paris Is Burning" in addition to a personal letter of thanks to the buyer.
The auction is on now, on eBay.

Ladyhawke And The Presets Take Out ARIAs
A big hats off to Modular superstars Ladyhawke and The Presets, who both cleaned up nicely at last night's ARIA Awards. Our favourite songstress took home two Breakthrough Artist awards in both the album and single categories, while Jules and Kim claimed the Best Dance Release for "Talk Like That".

Modular Xmas Party 2009
'Tis the season to be jolly, and the jolly swashbuckling good times will be available by the sackful at the 2009 Modular Xmas Party.
This year's Modular Xmas Party, both in Sydney and Melbourne, will feature a selection of the label's latest and greatest coming together in what's set to be anything but a silent afternoon in the pub or raving night in the club.
Bringing fresh-faced holiday cheer will be Tame Impala, Jonathan Boulet and The Swiss playing live, while Canyons will be steering the party sleigh from within the confines of the DJ booth.

Ladyhawke's "Magic" Single and Remixes Out Now
Incase you weren't aware, Ladyhawke's bombastic eponymous debut album has now seen five official single releases. For all of those those mathematically-minded number crunchers reading along, that's almost half of the record, which is practically a record within itself.
The most recent has been "Magic", which is now available on the iTunes Music Store for download. In addition to original, there are a handful of remixes by the likes of The Swiss and Donnie Sloan.
Also, how's about a big round of applause for Pip for getting the prestigious number one album position in New Zealand.

Ladyhawke
Phillipa "Pip" Brown (born in Masterton, New Zealand, in 1979) is a singer-songwriter, better known by her stage name Ladyhawke, playing all the instruments in studio and touring with a band. She was formerly a part of the Wellington band Two Lane Blacktop named for the 1970s road movie of the same name. Before assuming the name Ladyhawke, she formed the band Teenager with Nick Littlemore of Pnau and Empire of the Sun. Ladyhawke named herself after the 1985 Richard Donner film Ladyhawke. Ladyhawke is best known for the 2008 single "Paris Is Burning", which she wrote after a visit to Paris. Her debut album was released on Modular Recordings in September 2008.
