Video: Wolfmother - 'Back Round' (Live at the LA Natural History Museum)

All work and no play make Wolfmother a dull band, so to speak. So to combat any studio-induced cabin fever while recording the upcoming album, Cosmic Egg, the boys stepped out to the LA Natural History Museum to play a very special gig. Watch them play the new tune "Back Round" and keep your eyes peeled, you might even learn something.

As you may have heard, Andrew Stockdale dropped the bomb last week revealing that the Wolfies' second record will be given the very mystical title of Cosmic Egg, named after a Yoga position. Of course.

Wolfmother Returns

Frontman Andrew Stockdale has emerged from his self-built home studio and is due to head to LA to record the second Wolfmother album with producer Alan Moulder in April. Wolfmother stepped out earlier in February to play two shows in Brisbane and Sydney to roadtest the new material prior to recording. Billed as White Feather, the shows at the Valley Studios in Andrew's hometown of Brisbane and The Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney sold out within minutes of word leaking online, and Wolfmother ripped through a set of old gold and new magic to those quick enough to be there.

Big Smiles, Big Wins

Every year, the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) holds a little event that goes by the name of the ARIA Awards. Yesterday, nominees across twenty-eight categories in the 2008 ARIA Awards were announced at a special industry gathering in Sydney. We are psyched to tell you that from the Modular family, The Presets received eight nominations, Cut Copy received two and Wolfmother have gotten one as well.
