We're happy to report that Sydney's own Circle Pit have been announced as the support act for Yeah Yeah Yeahs on their Australian It's Blitz! Tour, at all shows.

Over the weekend Triple J listeners voted Yeah Yeah Yeahs' It Blitz! as the 7th best album of 2009, in addition to making many Triple J staff member's own top ten lists. While we were busy celebrating their latest record, YYYs celebrated 10 years of All Tomorrow's Parties by playing the entirety of their debut, Fever To Tell (including hidden track "Poor Song") in Minehead on December 10.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' It's Blitz! tour tally continues! As if announcing shows in Sydney and Melbourne wasn't already enough - we're ecstatic to reveal that YYYs have now added an extra show in Melbourne at the iconic Forum Theatre.

The Big Apple's best banshee rockers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have recorded their own take of fellow skinny-legged NYC legends The Ramones' "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker", a teenage rebellion ripper that will feel just as goddamn awesome blasting from your speakers as the original did back in 1977. The track was recorded for War Child's fifth album, Heroes, from which all the proceeds go to protecting and aiding chidren affected by war. Find out more at warchild.org.uk.
