Last week we had the first of what we intend to be a series of pop-up dinner parties. The first was held at our offices in honour of Azari & III, The Rapture and Horse Meat Disco.

Our good friend Maurice Terzini provided us with signature lamb chops, squid and octopus, quinoa salads and vine leaves from his restaurant, Neild Avenue. The wine and margaritas flowed freely. Taste-maker blogger and photographer Yimmy Yayo came, he brought his camera and charted some of the goings on as shown in the above gallery. For more from Yimmy's blog, head here.

Last Friday night we held an intimate family & friends dinner at Modular HQ. Azari & III, The Rapture and Horse Meat Disco were in town so we got our good pal Maurice Terzini from Neild Avenue to sort the food and invited other long-time friends and Modular collaborators Juan MacLean and Hercules & Love Affair, who were on the same tour for Future Music Festival.

Our guests were exemplary, the wine was abundant, and the menu displayed some of the best of Sydney cuisine. Modular's head honcho Stephen 'Pav' Pavlovic might've even rewarded late-stayers with a snippet of as-yet-largely-unheard-but-highly-anticipated-releases. We can't confirm or deny, but we can share these photos, taken by Kasia Werstak.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner composed, conducted and performed in a special performance to mark the 41st anniversary of Earth Day. This special project was first staged in May 2011 in New York and more recently in January at the Sydney Opera House as part of the Sydney Festival.

While he was in Sydney we gave him a disposable camera and asked him to document the rehearsals (which took place in a converted train-shed) and the performances in the Concert Hall of the iconic Sydney Opera House.

On Saturday night before the 54th Grammy Awards, Modular and Puma co-hosted a get-together at the Penthouse Suite of the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood to celebrate Cut Copy's nomination.

Fellow label-mates Bag Raiders, Beni and local friends, Poolside, pulled out their best party jams. The guests of honour, Cut Copy also got behind the decks while friends Diplo, Digitalism, Kelis, Robyn, Reggie Watts, Midnight Juggernauts and many more turned up to make it quite a special night. Big shout out to our sponsors Puma, Bushmills, and Kanon Vodka for all their help in making Saturday night a killer night
