The story goes that at the young age of 6, Danilo Plessow fell in love with drums. He joined his school band and by the age of 11 he'd started working on his own music, using samples and computers. His moniker, 'Motor City Drum Ensemble', refers to his home town Stuttgart, the home of automobiles such as Mercedes-Benz and Porsche - as well as the hugely influential sounds born in the American Motor City, Detroit.

He's in hot demand for his production abilities, and his DJ prowess at clubs across the world. A prestigious DJ Kicks commission this year is testament to his famous production and live dj mixing skills. Recently he recorded a set from a gig at D-Edge in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This Modcast, recorded live, is 50 minutes out of a grand four and a half hour set and is a taste of what's to come if you manage to catch him live in the coming festive season. Dates below.
