Tao Lin (b. 1983) is the Brooklyn based poet/author responsible for last year's cult hit novella, Shoplifting From American Apparel. His anticipated second novel, Richard Yates, is due to be released by Melville House in September.

Tao: I've listened to variations of this mixtape the past 1-5 months while typing/editing things, discerning/organizing my career, walking on sidewalks/streets, buying groceries, Gmail chatting, drawing and exercising and drinking smoothies and packaging things in my room, sitting on [various things] in [various places] eating [various things], standing in [various places] waiting for [various things]. I would refer to the No-Cash and Miracle of '86 songs as "calmly out-of-control, to some degree" maybe.
