The first of a series of a behind the scenes look at the forthcoming Wolfmother opus is now online. Episode 1 travels the open high-way to Byron Bay where much of the record was born and pre-production took place. We take a visit to the studio where Wolfmother were laying down some cover songs and Andrew Stockdale talks us through the process behind Cosmic Egg's creation, his take on the record itself and plans for the forthcoming live onslaught.

Whoever said that Video was convicted and found guilty of killing the Radio Star? Make sure you crack out the wave lengths next Monday August 10th on triple j, because Tame Impala will be tearing the transceiver a new one on Live At The Wireless at 8pm. Too busy then? Those hat-wearin', banger makin', star shooting mofos were at it again on friday night at OAF, as the Bag Raiders tickled the tastsebuds of the Gen Y misfits. The night went long, and the kids danced hard, as the boys were joined by fellow finger spinners Bang Gang DJs, Van She Tech and Magic Happens who ensured for a sweaty night. Hobo Gestapo was there to snap all the good bits.

The Presets - APRA Songwriters Of The Year
Congratulations once more to the all conquering duo, The Presets who have been awarded the prestigious APRA Songwriters Of The Year award last night in Melbourne. Capping off what has been an astonishing 18 months for Kim & Jules, their phenomenally successful album Apocalypso showcased their ability to fuse lyrical daring with killer melodies and proved that they are without doubt an Australian songwriting force to be reckoned with. The award is represent the songwriters behind the most successful works of 2008. Massive kudos, boys.
