During Nicolas Jaar's last Australian tour, Darkside kindly invited us to their studio to hear some new music. An irrefutable offer, we walked in blindly unsure of where their sophisticated creative capacity would lead us.
From the moment they hit play, time, space and the awareness of the artist present immediately eroded. This spectral masterwork had pulled us into speakers. Drifting through a musical history from it's post-modern vantage point, we quickly realised that we HAD to put this out. This record reaffirms every reason why we release music.
Hindered by our short attention spans and changing listening behaviour, its easy to forget the important album format. Psychic reclaims the critical long player journey. FEEL its gravitational pull - it's available now through itunes and all good record stores while you can try before you buy with NPR's full album stream.
