The Modular Agency proudly presents the first ever Australian DJ Tour for the UK's Mercury and Brit-Award nominated faves Friendly Fires. Drummer Jack Savidge will be heading down-under at the end of December for a 7-date tour across the country.

Friendly Fires were last seen in Australia earlier this year at Future Music Festival and previously at Splendour in the Grass 2011. They followed up their acclaimed 2008 self-titled debut album with last year's 'Pala' and toured the world extensively. Jack is well known for his DJ skills, spinning all over the globe including an exclusive set for the Boiler Room. Friendly Fires consider German techno label Kompakt and Detroit don Carl Craig amongst their greatest influences and the guys released a DJ mix compilation 'Suck My Deck' [Bugged Out] to high praise in 2010.

Back in London, Jack's recently launched a new underground DJ project with Edwin from Foals called 'Deep Shit' and the band were asked to curate "The Past, Present and Future of Dance Music" stage at premiere UK festival Bestival - so quite rightly booked the amazing Frankie Knuckles, A Guy Called Gerald, SBTRKT and TEED.

Back to the tour, and Jack's Friendly Fires DJ Set will be amongst the headline performances at boutique festival Peats Ridge, on Dec 30, Pyramid Rock Festival [Phillip Island] on New Years Eve and Club Paradiso's massive beach party in Perth on Jan 1. He'll be digging deeper in the clubs starting with Sydney's Spice Cellar on Dec 28, followed by Alhambra Lounge, Brisbane on Dec 29 and Plantation Hotel, Coffs Harbour on Jan 4, before wrapping up the tour at Rats @ Brown Alley, Melbourne on Jan 5.
