Club Mod stars wordlife hover the wand over The Presets' latest single 'Goodbye Future'. Premiering on Dancing Astronaut over the weekend, the EDM bible observed that their efforts "transform the progressive sensibilities of the original into a bouncy and stutter-filled indie dance gem. A gripping deep bass line and a tasteful approach to the entire process, the remix honors the original's melancholic energy with a guttural synthetic undercoat designed with dirty dancefloors in mind."
Experience the super class sound for yourself...
The remix is part of an upcoming package set for release next month, also including reworkings by The Aston Shuffle, Ilan Bluestone and an extended club edit by The Presets themselves. wordlife join Beni as support for their Groovin' the Moo sideshows. Tour details below.
Eric Berglund's highly anticipated sophomore album as CEO, 'WONDERLAND', is now available digitally worldwide (excusing Australia which releases on Friday 7 February). Spanning just 8 tracks but a kaleidoscope of emotions, the album is CEO in perfect form - "a chipper jaunt through a fantastical sonic realm with tinges of darkness at its fringes" (Stereogum).
To date, the album has been peeked at via three tracks - the introductory 'WHOREHOUSE', the single 'WONDERLAND', and the New York Times-premiered 'Mirage'. Last week, NPR streamed the full album via First Listen, describing the album as "a statement about isolation and loneliness and a delicate search for meaning".
Take a dive into CEO's 'WONDERLAND' today. Purchase the album via iTunes here.
"Luxuriantly widescreen and eccentrically detail-rich" - Pitchfork
"As demented and blissful as the best parts of once-popular 'freak-folk' movement, with Berglund leading a big top full of whining recorders, sweet-tooth synths and cackling samples." - Billboard
"Top-notch execution of the pretty but hostile Swedish pop sound he's played such a critical role in shaping." - The Fader
Klaxons new single 'There Is No Other Time' premiered in a worldwide exclusive play just hours ago via BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe. Here it is in case you snoozed...
Not only is 'There Is No Other Time' classic Klaxons at their best, it's also a collaboration with Gorgon City, the English electronic music production duo currently making serious waves. Excitingly, the track offers a new sound for the Mercury Prize & multiple NME Award winners.
This first taste of new music from the British indie rockers since their 2010 released 'Surfing The Void' album, signals a big 2014 for Klaxons, a year which includes a forthcoming new album due for a mid-year release. The album also sees the band work with Tom Rowlands of the Chemical Brothers, Erol Alkan and James Murphy.
Further news of the new album & live shows for 2014 will follow shortly.
The Presets return with their new single 'Goodbye Future'. Written and produced by The Presets, the track is direct, electric and euphoric; a lighting bolt to the system. It's the first of a series of singles for The Presets across the coming year.

They've also announced their special collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra for Timeline, a kaleidoscopic surge through forty-two thousand years of music. Full details below.
