Van She Tech - the Boys Are Back + a New Single Surprise
From Queen to Wham!, Duran Duran to Ce Ce Peniston, Van She Tech have put together an amazing DJ set for this year's Splendour In The grass, full of all original dance music and bootleg bangers made in between writing their sophomore album.
While busy in the studio writing the rest of their second Van She full length, Nicky and Michael have informed us that they have made some special bootlegs which they will be giving away via Van She's Twitter page over the coming weeks. Word on the street is that VST will drop one of the singles from album number two during one of their Splendour sets - YES!
To be one of the first to hear, be sure to catch one of their 3 sets on the Saturday in the Mix Up Tent before/after the Juggers and see if you can spot the new tune.

Robyn's 'Body Talk Pt. 2' Gets Release Date
The princess of Swedish pop, Robyn, is back. Her latest album, Body Talk Pt. 1 has been received to rapturous reviews as she emerges fresh from the studio with Body Talk Pt. 2 out 24 September 2010. The second record of the Body Talk trilogy is the direct result of Robyn's abundance of great songs bursting to get out. The second of three albums to drop within a year, Body Talk Pt. 2 features high brow collaborations including Snoop Dogg, Diplo, Royskopp and Klas Ahlund.
Congratulations to Tame Impala, whose debut album InnerSpeaker has just been nominated for a J Award.

Klaxons 'Down Under The Void' Tour On Sale Now
Klaxons have well and truly announced their return, and come September fans from the Antipodean shores will experience their storming new live show in full force at the 'Down Under The Void' Tour.
With Surfing The Void, their majestic 2nd record, still smoking from the press, Klaxons will be back with a clutch of new material to further bolster their already blindsiding live act playing two shows only in Sydney on September 2 and in Melbourne on September 3.

There's a lot going on in the Cut Copy world. The band have been hard at work finishing their as-yet-untitled third album (due early 2011) and will mix the much-awaited opus with Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective) this coming August.
In celebration, a brand new song called "Where I'm Going" is now available for the price of an email address. Go to their website, click the 'Download A New Cut Copy Song' link, and you're away. If you want it on vinyl, it will be released as a strictly limited, one-sided etched 7" in August.
The tribal pound of "Where I'm Going," has been described by the band as "the kind of track Brian Wilson would've written if he took ecstasy and hung out in 60's London instead of California."
Tame Impala Announce Australian Spring Tour October 2010
Perth's global gallivanters Tame Impala are fresh back from their virgin voyage around the USA in time to announce their Spring Australian Tour. Since the recent release of their debut record, InnerSpeaker, there's been no rest for the Perth four-piece, who walked off the stage of their last Australian show and onto a jetplane bound for the states.
In the US they supported MGMT at a slew of sold out shows everywhere from Santa Cruz to Salt Lake City and played sold out headline shows of their own in NYC, LA and Chicago. Their record was released internationally to a most excellent reception from the press, with Pitchfork Media awarding InnerSpeaker "Best New Music" status and an 8.5 score, while The Fader called their debut album "a glorious haze of echo-heavy, dreamy psychedelic rock".
The 2nd and current single from InnerSpeaker is "Lucidity". A tearaway, road tripping highlight from the record, "Lucidity" showcases Tame Impala at their unhinged, shredding best. By all accounts this trip Tame Impala are on will not be stopping anytime soon, with Splendour In The Grass acting as their homecoming, a European jaunt just over the horizon, this immense October tour and an encore lap of the US mooted for late in the year.
Tickets are on-sale Thursday July 18, and as a special offer to live show fans the InnerSpeaker album will be available to bundle in digital or physical version with each to ticket to the upcoming tour.

Klaxons' "Echoes" Premiere This Saturday
After spending last weekend in the blistering heat of the white desert Egypt, Klaxons have returned with a video for the single "Echoes" and now it's nearly time to put it out there into the world. Pitchfork will be showing "Echoes" first this Saturday, before being unleashed to Australian audiences with some extra exciting news from Monday July 19th.

Good Taste with the Bag Raiders: Rockpool Bar and Grill
Ever since I moved to Melbourne a few months ago I've been meaning to hit up a Rockpool Wagyu Burger. I've been there a few times for dinner and always dug it plus everyone I talk to seems to think it's the best burger in the universe (better even than In-N-Out!?) I was supposed to go with my buddy Bearnaise on Friday, but i was riding past the other day and I couldn't help but go in and slam one. I knew he would understand.
