The Presets - Beams
September 12, 2005
Three years in the making, Beams is a collection of 12 tracks stirring the whole spectrum of emotions, from dark, disturbed disco to blissful, cinematic instrumentals, with some straight up brilliant pop songs in the middle. Theirs is a sound that isn’t quite rock and not exactly dance, but treads water in the murky depths between the two. It’s rock with drums like falling anvils, or aggro-disco, next to magnificent filmic interludes and wondrous electronica.
