The Tough Alliance - A New Chance

Producing the album themselves and barely breaking the 30-minute mark, TTA cram a truckload of influences into this punchy and concise piece of work, from the undying optimism of wonky pop as only the Swedes can do it ('Something Special') to 80's soaked rave-era beats ("Miami"), all linked by their shamelessly catchy synth-fuelled choruses. Through out many of the songs on A New Chance, the band seem to be searching for "something special, something real," for "soul that can't be bought or sold," or just "something that moves us tonight.
