Over the weekend Triple J listeners voted Yeah Yeah Yeahs' It Blitz! as the 7th best album of 2009, in addition to making many Triple J staff member's own top ten lists. While we were busy celebrating their latest record, YYYs celebrated 10 years of All Tomorrow's Parties by playing the entirety of their debut, Fever To Tell (including hidden track "Poor Song") in Minehead on December 10.

We are smitten to announce that starting today, Modular's very-own finest and most beautiful will be featured heavily for Triple J's Ausmusic Month.

Make sure you crack out the wave lengths next Monday August 10th on triple j, because Tame Impala will be tearing the transceiver a new one on Live At The Wireless at 8pm. Too busy then? The duo's trophy room is looking pretty chocka these days, they've raked up an impressive bag of awards this year already and Friday night it was capped off in the most exemplary fashion imaginable with their winning of the 2008 J Award for Album Of The Year for the unstoppable second album, Apocalypso. The J Award is for an album of outstanding achievement as an Australian musical work of art - for its creativity, innovation, musicianship and contribution to Australian music, as judged by a panel at Triple J, Australia's nation-wide youth network. The Presets join the list of legends alongside previous winners Wolfmother, Blue King Brown and The Panics.
